SUMMARY:The Pollinator's Toolkit: Unlocking Affordable & Accessible Capital
DESCRIPTION:Access to capital remains one of the biggest barriers for emerging impact enterprises.\nBut the challenge isn’t just about access\, it’s about the right kind of capital\, at the right stage. \nAcross the ecosystem\, many ventures find themselves stuck in what is often called the ‘missing middle.’ They are too advanced for grants or early crowdfunding\, but not yet ready for traditional investment. As a result\, they either rely on short-term philanthropic funding or give up equity too early\, both of which can limit long-term sustainability. \nThis session explores one pathway to bridge that gap: by looking not just at capital itself\, but also at the systems that enable it to flow more effectively. \nAs part of The Pollinator’s Toolkit\, we spotlight LendForGood and Vula – two platforms working on different\, but complementary\, parts of this challenge. While LendForGood enables affordable\, crowd-powered debt financing for impact enterprises\, Vula provides AI-powered infrastructure that helps enterprises discover\, navigate\, and access the right funding opportunities more efficiently. \nTogether\, they offer a more complete picture of how capital can be unlocked\, by improving both access to funding and the pathways that connect enterprises to it. \nThis session will walk through how these models work in practice — from enterprise onboarding and campaign execution to funding discovery and application — while also exploring what makes an enterprise a strong fit for different types of capital. \nImportantly\, the session is grounded in the role that incubators can play. \nTogether\, we will explore how impact incubators can engage with platforms like LendForGood and Vula as active partners in preparing ventures\, shaping pipelines\, and expanding the range of capital pathways available to their portfolios. \nThis session is really about rethinking how incubators can support enterprises beyond early-stage funding\, and how alternative financing models and infrastructure can become part of a more complete and accessible capital stack. \n \nWhat we’ll explore \n\n How different forms of capital — including debt\, equity\, and grants — fit within a broader capital stack\n • How LendForGood and Vula operate in practice\, from funding access to application pathways\n • What makes an enterprise a strong fit for different types of financing\n • How incubators can support ventures in navigating and accessing capital more effectively\n • Practical ways to expand funding pathways for early-stage and underserved enterprises\n\nWhat you’ll take away\n\n • The ability to identify 2–3 ventures that could benefit from improved access to funding pathways\n • Practical ideas for integrating alternative financing and capital navigation tools into your programme design\n • Clarity on how to collaborate directly with both platforms\n • Greater confidence in supporting entrepreneurs to navigate and access capital more effectively \nWho should join? \nThis session is open to Pollinate Impact members only\, and is particularly relevant for:\n • Programme managers\n • M&E teams\n • Teams supporting enterprise growth and funding pathways \nIf you are working closely with founders navigating funding challenges\, especially those not yet ready for traditional investment\, this session offers a practical way to expand your approach. \nSpeakers \nTom Dawkins — LendForGood\nKevin Korir — Vula

SUMMARY:Coaching SMEs From Invisible to Investable with ONOW’s DayTwo
DESCRIPTION:This is a Pollinate Impact Members-Only webinar. \nThe Pollinators’ Toolkit is a members-only event series that shares practical tools\, tested frameworks\, and real-world lessons to strengthen our support for impact incubators. \nInformal record-keeping is a significant barrier to entrepreneurs’ access to finance. Most small businesses worldwide use receipts\, notebooks\, and memory\, making them invisible to lenders and hard for impact incubators to assess or support. \nIn this hands-on Pollinator’s Toolkit workshop\, Pollinate Impact member ONOW will showcase how its fintech platform turns everyday SME financial activity captured informally in photos\, chats\, and voice notes into clean\, dated financial records and lender-ready signals. Already used by more than 600 businesses\, DayTwo generates weekly income statements and daily cash flow visibility. The tool helps incubators see real financial health\, coach with more precision\, and connect entrepreneurs to capital with less friction. \nIf you want to move from\n\n\nGuessing at your clients’ financial health based on incomplete or outdated information \n\n\nStruggling to connect entrepreneurs to lenders due to a lack of credible documentation \n\n\nCoaching without visibility into real-time cash flow or profitability \n\n\nBeing unable to demonstrate measurable financial outcomes to your funders and stakeholders\, this session is for you. \n\n\n  \nWhat to expect:\n\n\nIntroduction to behaviour-based financial tracking: See how DayTwo converts messy\, informal records into structured data and credit signals that lenders recognise. \n\n\nLearn how daily habits become investability signals: A live exercise contrasting paper tracking with digital records\, showing how simple behavioural nudges translate into financial credibility. \n\n\nActionable coaching frameworks: Walk away with practical tools for interpreting profit and cash flow\, plus a hands-on demo showing the platform in action. \n\n\nSpeakers:\n\nMatthew Wallace\, Co-founder\, ONOW Myanmar\, Co-founder and CEO\, ONOW Ascent Inc\nNathan Temeyer\, Co-founder\, ONOW Ascent Inc\n\n———————————————————— \nThe Pollinators’ Toolkit Series\nThe Pollinators’ Toolkit series is designed to equip impact enablers with practical\, field-tested tools and resources to strengthen organisational capacity and improve how you support entrepreneurs. We know there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to enabling impact\, so this series showcases adaptable models\, frameworks\, and practices that you can make your own. \nWhether you’re looking for financial sustainability models\, mentoring strategies\, or impact measurement frameworks\, the Pollinator’s Toolkit is here to help you strengthen your operations while staying true to your work.
