Rachna believes that inclusive and innovative entrepreneurship can drive lasting positive social, economic, and climate impact. She leads the Dignified Jobs Accelerator (DJA) at Upaya Social Ventures, where she oversees strategy, partnerships, and program delivery to help social enterprises grow, become investment-ready, and scale their ability to create dignified livelihoods. She also plays a key role on Upaya’s Investment & Portfolio team, leading investment deals and providing post-investment support to help enterprises expand their impact sustainably.
With experience spanning consulting, enterprise incubation and acceleration, and impact investing, Rachna brings a deep understanding of how social businesses grow and scale impact across diverse sectors. Before joining Upaya, she coached early-stage social entrepreneurs at UnLtd India, and led cohort design, selection, and capacity-building programs. Earlier in her career, she worked in retail lending and credit bureau consulting, collaborating with domestic and international organizations on research and evaluations focused on credit processes, policies, and reporting systems in emerging markets.
She is deeply committed to building ecosystems that enable inclusive entrepreneurship and advance sustainable solutions in areas such as circular economy, clean energy, food and agriculture, and livelihoods.
Rachna joined the Governing Board in March 2025. She is based in Bangalore, India.
