Community Choreographer

Ruod Ariete

Ruod joined Pollinate Impact in 2024 as the Network was steadily expanding across the Global South. Based in Metro Manila, Philippines, Ruod designs and leads our virtual and in-person convenings. She crafts joyful, purposeful spaces where connection turns into collaboration and bold ideas can take root. Whether she’s hosting a peer-led session or producing a three-day gathering, she brings rhythm, intention, and a whole lot of heart.

Before Pollinate Impact, she worked alongside global changemakers and human rights organisations as a facilitator, counsellor, and nonprofit worker. Her background spans learner-led adult education, harm reduction, and mental health with deep roots in movement-building and community care. She’s a certified queer-affirmative counsellor with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Clinical Psychology.

Ruod believes that communities in the Global South already hold the wisdom and power to drive transformative change. Her challenge is to help shape the Pollinate Impact network into a space where that power is shared, trust is built, and collective action becomes irresistible (and maybe even fun).

Outside of work, you can find Ruod spending slow, joy-filled days with her life partner, and their furbaby, Dobby, watching drag shows, or strutting through the streets in a fabulous outfit. Because why not serve a look while building a better world?
